Private Jet Charter,
Paris.
From Le Bourget, Europe's busiest private field — the right aircraft for every route, arranged discreetly with a reply in about 30 minutes.
What a private jet charter costs
A charter is priced as hours in the air multiplied by that aircraft's hourly rate, where the billed hours are whichever is greater: the flight time, or the operator's minimum. US domestic flights add 7.5% Federal Excise Tax. A return trip adds either a two-hour daily minimum plus about $1,200 a night for crew while the aircraft waits, or the cost of a second one-way if it is released.
Prices below are for the whole aircraft, from Paris (LBG) or anywhere else you need to leave from.
| Aircraft | Cabin | Typical range | Hourly rate | Operator minimum |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light jet | up to 7 guests | about 2,000 nm | from $4,500 per hour | 1.5 h minimum |
| Midsize jet | up to 9 guests | about 2,600 nm | from $6,000 per hour | 1.5 h minimum |
| Super-midsize jet | up to 10 guests | about 3,400 nm | from $7,500 per hour | 2 h minimum |
| Heavy jet | up to 14 guests | about 4,750 nm | from $10,000 per hour | 2 h minimum |
| Ultra-long-range | up to 19 guests | about 7,500 nm | from $14,500 per hour | 2 h minimum |
Not included: de-icing, catering beyond standard, ground transport, peak-day surcharges, and airport fees at some fields. These are indicative from prices worked out from published hourly rates, not quotations. MagnateJet arranges private jet charter; flights are operated by FAA / EASA-certified operators.
Questions, answered.
The ones we are actually asked, answered properly. Where a figure depends on your dates, we say so rather than rounding it off.
How much does it cost to charter a private jet from Paris?
It depends on three things, and the estimator directly above works out all three for your own trip rather than making you read a price list: how far it is, which classes can fly it nonstop with your party on board, and how many hours that comes to. Beyond the aircraft itself, what moves the final figure is where the aircraft has to come from — positioning is often the single largest line and it has nothing to do with your route length — the date, and whether a return keeps the aircraft on the ground in between rather than releasing it. We confirm a firm all-in price trip by trip.
Can my jet leave Paris late at night?
Not from Le Bourget. No turbojet may leave its stand for take-off between 22:15 and 06:00 local — a legal restriction dating to the arrêté of 15 February 2011, with exemptions limited to things like medical flights and delays outside the operator's control. Arriving late is fine; leaving late is not. If your evening is open-ended we plan a dawn departure, or position the aircraft at Charles de Gaulle, whose night window is different. Be careful of anyone who tells you this can be arranged around.
Why does Paris to New York cost more than New York to Paris?
Because it takes longer. The jet stream runs west to east across the North Atlantic, so the westbound leg flies into it: roughly 7h45 Paris–New York against about 6h50 coming the other way on the same aircraft, and the gap widens in winter. Charter is billed by the hour, so the westbound leg costs more, and on some heavy jets the headwind also eats enough range to force a technical stop in Shannon or Gander. Our estimator prices each direction separately rather than averaging them.
What actually happens at customs when I land?
At Le Bourget, clearance happens in the FBO — usually 5 to 15 minutes, sometimes at the foot of the aircraft. Crew are not processed through immigration. Your operator files a general declaration listing each occupant's place of birth, so we collect passport details in advance; cash of €10,000 or more must be declared. At Charles de Gaulle or Orly you clear in the main terminal instead, which is a 30- to 60-minute affair with a van ride attached — one of the better arguments for Le Bourget.
Is there a French tax on private flights?
Yes, and it is per passenger, on departures from France. The taxe de solidarité sur les billets d'avion has applied to non-scheduled flights of up to 19 seats since 1 March 2025, at €420 within Europe, €1,015 for destinations under 5,500 km, and €2,100 beyond that. On a ten-passenger departure to New York that is €21,000 on the outbound leg alone. It does not apply to flights into France. We show it as its own line rather than folding it into the aircraft price. (Rates run unchanged to 31 March 2027.)
Is Le Bourget cheaper than Charles de Gaulle?
On the airport's own charges, yes. Under the 2026 Aéroports de Paris tariff, Le Bourget has a lower base landing fee at any business-jet weight, no fixed parking component, and no per-passenger fee at all — CDG charges €10.59 to €26.83 per departing passenger depending on destination. Two honest caveats: Le Bourget's night noise coefficient is steeper, and FBO handling is billed separately by the FBO and is not cheap there. Handling is where the real difference between quotes usually sits, which is why we show it to you broken out.
Can I fly nonstop from Paris to Los Angeles or the US West Coast?
Eastbound into Europe, routinely. Westbound out of Paris is the limiting leg, and it is the one you are asking about: around 4,900 nm into a headwind. It is flown nonstop on ultra-long-range aircraft — the Gulfstream G650ER and G700, the Bombardier Global 7500 — but whether your flight goes nonstop on your date is the operator's performance calculation, turning on passenger count, baggage and the winds that day. We will tell you which aircraft can hold it and which will need a stop, before you book rather than after.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, with lead time. France requires an ISO microchip scanned before the rabies vaccination — a vaccine given before the chip does not count and has to be redone — then a 21-day wait, then an EU health certificate issued by a USDA-accredited vet and endorsed within 10 days of arrival. In practice that means starting about five weeks out. Le Bourget's handlers take dogs and cats over three months old. No tapeworm treatment is needed for France. We handle the paperwork timeline with you; the vaccination sequence is the part nobody can shortcut.
Which airport do you use in Paris, and when would you use another?
Le Bourget (LBG) unless something specific points elsewhere. It is Europe's busiest business-aviation airport — 54,724 movements in 2024 — and it exists for private flights only. Six FBOs, each running its own terminal, so you never see a public concourse. Longest runway 3,000 m (9,843 ft), which means nothing in the business-jet fleet is too large for it, up to a BBJ. Customs is handled in the FBO in about 5–15 minutes. It sits roughly 11 km from central Paris; road time runs anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour and a half, so we plan your slot around the traffic rather than quote you a number we cannot keep.
Charles de Gaulle is right for three situations and no others: you are connecting onto a scheduled flight, your charter carries more than 25 seats, or you need to leave Paris inside Le Bourget's night window. Slots are required, PPR runs 24 hours ahead, and customs is in the main terminal — 30 to 60 minutes with a van ride attached.
Orly is closer to the Left Bank but largely closed to standalone private flights: general aviation is accepted only alongside an airline connection, with slots, 24-hour PPR, no arrivals before 09:30 and no departures 19:00–21:00. Its 23:30–06:00 curfew is a hard one and applies to every aircraft type.
The smaller fields are worth knowing mostly so you are not sold one. Toussus-le-Noble is closer to Versailles but bans anything over 12 t and has no customs — a Gulfstream cannot use it, and nor can any arrival from outside Schengen. Pontoise caps at 17 t, also without customs. Deauville is the one secondary field that genuinely takes a heavy jet, with 2,550 m and full international handling, if Normandy rather than Paris is the destination.
Is there a time of year to avoid Le Bourget?
One: the Paris Air Show, 14–20 June 2027. In 2025 the operational disruption ran roughly a fortnight around the show — closures during the display windows, about a third of the ramp given over to organisers, mandatory crew and aircraft accreditation, and no guarantee of overnight parking. If you fly to Paris that June we will route you to Pontoise, Châlons-Vatry or Deauville, and tell you so before you book. Otherwise the pressure points are the usual ones: the January and June menswear weeks running straight into Haute Couture, womenswear in March and late September, and the week either side of New Year.
How soon can you arrange it?
Often within a few hours, and frequently same-day. One thing to build in: a non-EU operator needs a French landing permit, which takes two business days as standard. For the fastest reply, message us on WhatsApp or call the desk.
